One week update
Wed, 10-31-2012 - 10:19am

Today marks one week since EA & NC Smile  No fishing whatsoever, but then again I closed my old email account.  So he'd have to call work or show up here, and he hasn't.  While I am feeling good today, I know that I'm still going to have my ups and downs.  I am really trying to focus on myself, my H and my home life - working on little projects, cooking more meals, reading, etc.  Anything to keep me busy!  Really miss just chatting my xAP but still know & feel that I have done the very best thing for myself and my happiness.

Good girl, just keep on keeping on.  One foot in front of the other, walking away.

Know it will get tough some days but that the pain of staying is worse than the pain of ending, after awhile at least.

Come here when it get tough, we have all been there.  I am 10 months NC yesterday :)

Hey Changed,

Good to hear your update and well done you! It is so so tough and hurts but guess what, that hideous first week is done and you won't have to do it again!, With every week that passes it does get a teeny tiny bit better. Sounds like you are being sensible and realistic - keep busy and keep batting away the triggers. You have done the right thing and it is a gift to both of you. Like Raine says keep walking away one day at a time. Stay strong, you are doing this!!

Thanks Raine & Sunny!  I know it's only a week but it feels like it's been so long already.  I am sure I'll have some weak moments and be back here for help, but feeling good today and hopeful.

Raine, 10 months is awesome...I am sure that was not easy at times!

Hi Changed,

Great ways to set boundaries and to improve your chances of healing and moving forward. Your expectations for the road ahead are also very grounded and realistic.

Keep posting in and letting us know how you are doing!

Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are probably right. A parrot can repeat what it has learned but the mark of true intelligence is applying what is learned.

Hi Clarity, thanks and yes I am actaully feeling like the down days are slightly less intense...I am hoping this lasts!  I woke up this morning thinking of him.  He was on my mind yesterday since it was Halloween and his first time with children on the holiday, so I know he probably had a good time with them....and the W.  Depressed me a bit but I tried not to think about it too much.  Today is a new day so going to try to erase those thoughts from my mind!

Glad you found my post...I'm so confused with this board!  I hope it gets more user-fiendly as fixes happen.

I would have totally missed your update if I hadn't gone over to page 2 and scrolled down for about an hour *eyeroll*.

Congratulations on your one week!  I'm glad to hear you are doing well.  Sure, you will have your ups and downs, but the further out you get, the down days will be less intense and the up days will outweigh the down days...perhaps you are already experiencing that.

Your focus is right where it belongs, Changed.

Keep it hummin'
