My suggestion (because it works for me): Read the posts over and over again. Just because you've read it once, doesn't mean you got the message - or rather, you got the message, but filtered through your frame of reference or state of mind at the time - however, your state of mind will shift and, if you read the post a second, third, fourth time, a day, week, month later, you will get a NEW message. I'd like to also suggest that you do an advance search to read ALL the post from a particular person who resonates with you.

That is all for now.
Cheers, y'all.

Hey Dee,

That is true even when reading the Bible. Sometimes I read a verse and think oh that is nice.

Later I will read it again and it means so much and deals with something I'm going through at the time.

Very good point!

Hey if you ask Clarity she will share her chocolates. They are delish!

Whether you think you can or you think you can’t you are probably right.

Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are probably right. A parrot can repeat what it has learned but the mark of true intelligence is applying what is learned.

Dee~

Excellent advice. When I first came here there was a poster that resonated with me. Her name was Posiepops but I think most of her posts are now too old and somewhere in the EAS anals of history. She then changed her name to Lefeen, and some of those may still be around. Her words were amazing and she definitely kept me, and many others

Yeah, in the beginning, I would check the board on a slow day and be down that there was nothing new. I was desperate for an ah-ha moment, and I always prayed that there would be one waiting for me. I was also very tired and reading exhausted me - however, I started to force myself to read even when all I really wanted to do was crawl under my rock. So, I started doing advance searches for the ladies who really seemed to have good advice, and I started to also read the beginning to present story of some ladies and appreciating their progress (and learning from their setbacks.) Doing this, I realized I was reading some posts for a second or third time, and every time I did, I'd learn something new. Ah-ha moments are all over this board!

Read when you're feeling weak. Read when you're feeling strong. Read when you're happy. Read when you're too tired to think straight --- you get the idea. Every time you do, a new perspective will present itself. Not only that, but its good to learn through route repetition. I'll be pondering, lost, fumbling for a direction sometimes, and Ta-DA! some little nugget of Truth will pierce the fog from out of nowhere (well, not nowhere, from the board) and I'll grasp onto it like a lifeline.

It's only been 2.5 months of me posting and, already, I look back and marvel at what I wrote then. It inspires me that I'm making progress.

Love to all,
Dee
