That I will eventually quit thinking of him. I keep playing the song "Over Time" by Lucinda Williams. It goes like this:

Overtime
That's what they all tell me
That's what they say to me
Overtime
Your blue eyes, your black eyelashes
The way you looked at life
In your funny way
I guess out of the blue
You won't cross my mind
And I'll get over you
Overtime

Your pale skin, your sexy crooked teeth
The trouble you'd get in
In your clumsy way
I guess one afternoon
You won't cross my mind
And I'll get over you
Overtime

I guess out of the blue
You won't cross my mind
And I'll get over you
Overtime

I'm obsessing a little today and so badly want to send him an email. That's why I'm posting here first. I need to be slapped upside the head, please.

I echo what Bank said. Don't wallow in it. I don't listen to music that reminds me of xap or the A. I don't read quotes that remind me of xap or the A. Because I am still a newbie at 47 days NC, I am deep in self protection mode. I won't allow my mind to go there. Try to distract yourself. Listen to happy music. Do whatever you need to do, but stop listening to the sappy music. Stop allowing your mind to go there. You will get past this moment. Do not sacrifice your progress by reaching out to him. Nothing good will come of that. I am sure you've read how those who have reached out feel after they've done so. Protect yourself from further pain and keep moving forward.

Thanks, Ladies. I needed that. I actually find inspiration in that Lucinda song. I must be a little bit of a freak. :-)

Ok, I'm better now. Off to tackle the 101 things that have stacked up on my desk!! Have a great day.

Always,

Just wanted to say I agree with the other ladies. If I listen to music or watch shows that romanticize relationships or A's, I instantly start to feel weak. I know that I have to avoid these things and be careful to remember all the bad things about the A instead of the good!
