A phone call

I know this might sound silly but I want ya'lls opinions. I work the switchboard at my job, and today a call came in and it was a number from a neighboring community (thank goodness for caller ID)I thought I had recongnised. (Not XMM's number) Well, the person on the other end was XMM. He had cheer in his voice and asked for a department he needed and I professionally sent the call thru. Now I go into "over analyze mode". Did he do that to test me and see how I would react to his voice? Or to hear my voice? Or just to call that department? I know he has his cell phone with him most of the time. We have been at NC for a good while now. I know it was nothing I'm sure... But while I'm at work I struggle so bad with this "moving on from the affair thing" cause I don't always have alot to do, so my head goes into "thinking too much zone".

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.

Dear Takincare--

Don't even think about it. I think we all have a tendancy to overthink everything he did or said after it's over. I am still thinking about stuff my XOM said during our last conversation. But when I start having those thoughts I remind myself to snap back to reality...it doesn't matter what he is doing or saying right now because it is none of my concern. He is out of my life and needs to stay out.

When you start to have those thoughts, kick them right out of your brain and tell yourself you couldn't care less what he is doing, what he is thinking or who he is calling :-)

take care :-)

Hi Girl, does it really matter one little bit what his intentions were in calling, you have left that would of lieing and cheating behind, if he wants to live in that world it is up to him you don't live there anymore.

Time to retrain your mind to focus on your life and not some distant fantasy that was never real.

BE WELL

Just wanted to update this post. In the back of my mind I felt that XMM would try and contact me soon since he did the phone call at work and sure enough, he called me today on my cell phone. I didn't respond tho. Good for me.

I know him like a book and I know his motive is to remind me of how much he misses me and can't let me go. But buddy....this girl is done gone!!!!

Damn right good for you.

For him it's about having power in your life, that is what he misses and wants back.

Flick him off like a bugger.
