Phones may be hazardous to your mental health!

It’s all the fault of that Alexander Graham Bell fellow!

I just noticed this thread--thank you. maybe this is a good place to post tips about phones. luvinmeforever told me that on iphones and with att, you can purchase a monthly service (5$) where you can lock specific numbers so that calls/texts cannot come in or out from those numbers.

i am not sure about other carriers, but i believe movinon mentioned something about being able to block numbers on verizon.

it may also depend on the type of phone you have. i have an iphone, which can do all kinds of things, but doesn't seem to stop me from drunk dialing my AP! and along those lines, if going out someplace where you know you'll be boozin, give the phone to a friend, or dont bring it at all. i guess the other obvious response is "dont drink", but now that my A is over i gotta get my kicks somehow ;)

other ideas that have probably been thrown out there before...putting the AP in your phone as "DO NOT ANSWER" may be a good reminder. or, giving AP his own ring tone, or giving him/her a "silent" ring tone, so you do not even hear it ring. i've deleted my AP's number (of course i have the darn thing memorized) but at least the fact that it's not in my phone every day means that if i scroll thru my call list, i dont see it.

ok, thats it for now on phones...would love to hear others' ideas on how to keep our phones from being the instrument of betrayal

For Android based phones there is "Don't Dial" to stop you from drunk dialing.

Google it for iPhone.
