Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart... Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens. I started looking inside and went NC October 15, 2010
I'm so proud of you Kat! :) I can't say enough about the practice. Keep it up - you will love it. Below is a letter that was posted in our studio - I don't know who the author is - I'm guessing it's made it's way through the Bikram network.
Wonderful letter, thank you so much for sharing it Bodhi. About 10 minutes before the class ended, I swore that I would never go back, but within 10 minutes of leaving I was already looking forward to the next one. Talk about a love/hate relationship, but the teacher assured me that it's normal to feel that way.
It's so nice to have something new to do, that's just for me, and has nothing at all to do with the A. For the first few weeks after ending, I could barely drag myself out of bed and through the shower let alone consider any doing any exercise (why should I bother to look good if he wasn't going to be there to appreciate my efforts?). It's great to finally be at a place in my healing, where I want to take care of myself and feel strong and healthy for myself and no-one else.
Such a great attitude Kat :) I found that this type of yoga was the only thing that would force my type A personality to absolutely shut off (you have to at first because you are concentrating on not passing out, right?!) It's not only helped my body, but my mind as well. It really helps in all aspects of your life to keep your mind in the present moment. Feel free to email me if you ever want to talk yoga - it's on of my favorite things to do! :)
