Over the next few days, I will be going through my list and bestow feathers upon all who have recently gained Tweener status and SuperTweener status.

As one of the few Vets here, I would be a lot happier if more people would stick around and pay it forward to all the new people who show up here.

We only miss what could have been. I know I don't miss what it really was.

Hearts,

I think the feathers are a nice thought, but I fear that you're creating a lot of work for yourself, and at some point someone will do something they think is feather-worthy and feel neglected that it wasn't recognized.

You bring up some excellent points, Dee. While I certainly do not want to create hours and hours of work for myself here (I don't think my H would appreciate this very much either), I was just trying to add some colorfulness to our wings. Not everyone does take the time to post here, and we also cannot assume the worst if a newbie posts that they have "ended it" and then we don't see them back that they have backslidden and fallen into the A-hole. Sometimes it does mean that they have, and if so, we aren't going anywhere and we will welcome them back again. I guess I may have gotten a bit carried away with the feather idea, and perhaps a happy medium would be to include them with the wings when the important dates have been reached for Tweener, Supertweener and Vet.
You are very correct in saying that each of us has his/her own path for healing...staying on EAS can be a helpful thing for someone in the beginning and may not be what he/she needs along the remainder of the journey. I can't honestly say that I will be here 20 years from now, but I certainly can tell you I ain't going anywhere anytime soon.
The feather thing could possibly get out of hand, and I do not want any hurt feelings here in our great community about who gets them and who does not. IMHO, I believe that all enders are learning each and every day and take to flight in many areas of their lives where they had previously had been mucked in.

Appreciate all the input I can get here. I can't very well do this job without all of you.

I think RBM was referring to Tweeners and Super Tweeners in regards to paying it forward...not Vets.

So, is the consensus to drop the feather idea altogether? I certainly will not steal them away from anyone who has gotten them. I really did not intend this to be an issue amongst us...just another way of recognition. But, we can all do that with our words and by posting encouragement as we always have. Tweener wings, SuperTweener wings and Vet recognition will remain in place. Cause that is what Iddy would want anyhow. Sorry to have caused all the confusion with feathery stuff. Maybe I am just bored. lol
I'm not about to prove that anyone's opinion is off of anything. I'll validate it all. The feathers were my expression of colorfulness. That's all. I'll still imagine those wings as colorful as the most vivid rainbow. That won't take much effort or time on my part. :)

I have no opinion really on feathers...lol...and I take no issue with it.

My opinion was regarding whether or not I think Tweeners and Super Tweeners need to/should for their continued recovery stick around and pay it forward.

And btw, you are doing a marvelous job, darlink...and you look marvelous too :)

I like the feathers Hearts with the giving of wings as you've done for EO. Like you I love colour :) and as our new CL, it's nice for you to have your stamp on things.

I can't imagine ever being ready to fly the nest ;)

((((HUGS)))) to all of you...
I LOVE the way we can be open and share concerns/thoughts on this board. I hope that this can encourage others who lurk and those who don't post often to feel comfortable enough to do so if/when they are ready. :)
I know I have to exercise my boundaries when I am on the board, so that I am not taking too much time out of my RL or my time spent with my DH (which is very valuable and as of late has been hard to find!)
If I ever come up with a crazy azz idea that one or more of you are saying to yourselves, "what is she thinking?" I do so appreciate any and all feedback. We are here to encourage one another and we are also all entitled to our own opinions without judgement being cast. I think, after pulling ourselves out of the slimy A-hole, we are still very sensitive to what others think of us and I know for me, personally, I am a people pleaser. And I somehow thought I should please xap!! (times two...) Well, I know where that got me. Pretty dang fogged up. Alas, I still struggle with "I want to please everyone here at EAS", but the GOOD news is...I know I can't!!! :) And I am sure not gonna try! :) lol...I am happy being who I am (most days), though I admit I have lots of work to do. But, I am putting the hard hat on (and my colorful feathery wings, too) and I am going to put some sweat equity into this!!! Who's with me? ;)
