ran into xAP this morning

I stopped at the grocery store on the way to work this morning and ran into xAP. I heard, "Dee?" (not my really, insert my real name there) and turned around to be facing xAP. Guess what I was buying! Monostat. Yep. I have a yeast infection. hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! So, there I was.... monostat in hand, along with a powerbar and a six pack of diet Coke. OMG. Could it get any funnier. Maybe. If I'd been buying condoms and lube. But, alas, no.

He said, "HI! how are you." and I replied, "I'm great. but, I have to run... late for work." and I said 'bye' and walked on by.

I probably would have been all verklempt, but thank goodness I was too focused on being mortified! ha.

(and, NO, E1. I did NOT hug him.)

I hope everyone has a good Monday.

Whenever I'm in a situation where there's even a remote chance I may run into him, I usually mentally prepare myself for the possible encounter - I think I generally obsess way too much over it, but regardless - whenever the encounter occurs, I'm DETERMINED to act as aloof as possible. I don't plan to be mean (I'm all bark with little bite and he wouldn't believe it anyway), and I also won't get all doe-eyed and stupid like I've done in the past. I mean, the other times we've gone NC, and I've run into him, it's been all romantic and BS and always ends with us right back in the A.

NC since October 2, 2009.

Hey there always -

Just wanted to clarify something that I said.

I got through this situation because E1 gave me a butt kicking from the last time I ran into him. I flubbed that encounter and E1 told me _exactly_ what I did wrong and how to handle next time. I actually practiced it in the bathroom mirror! I have been laughing all day thinking that I should have responded to his "so, how are you?" by nodding to Monostat in my hand and shrugging "yeah, yeast infection..."

To all: thanks for the kudos. I am actually quite proud of myself, too! ;)

Way to go Dee! I've avoided seeing him so far, but I know it's inevitable. I pray I handle it as well as you did.
