The secret to the success of no contact is that you stop having stuff to think about, just the same old same old same old stuff. WIthout anything new to add to the mix, it just gets boooooring.

Now, if I could just get myself to do it.

OMG I totally agree with you....I have gone so far as to take everything that he ever gave me (all of the business trip trinkets) off of my desk so I wouldn't have to sit there and look at it. My problem is that I'm not busy enough at work to keep my mind occupied - ARGH!! Good luck to us though.

Hide the bottles. Poor them out. When they're not around, you're less likely to "drink". If you're not drinking, you have more time to be productive w/ other things.

So... hide the numbers. Delete the number from your cell phone. Erase the shortcut from your email program. Erase the birthday (I know.. yo just wrote the initials, right?) from your pocket calendar. Not only that... erase the old emails themselves. Throw away or give away gifts. Get rid of the pictures.

Now, find yourself MORE INTERESTING and MORE PRODUCTIVE and MORE CREATIVE because you're not staring at an old email you'd already read 3 times. Instead, you have new thoughts & ideas. Break the cycle that is destructive.

"No Contact"... it's a fresh start that you deserve.

So, yeah... add something new to the mix. Just add the right stuff.
