I just got back from a conference in Miami and my XMM is headed there now on other business, alone without his wife and kids. This is a place we've talked about before--a place where we fantasized about going together someday to just get away from everything. (We actually used to talk about lots of places like this. . . sometimes we would end emails with: see you on Lumahai Beach (Kauai), Maui or South Beach, Miami.

So, stupidedly, today, i am wondering if he is thinking about that while in flight--if the place where he is staying (coincidentally, the very place we always used to dream about meeting up, as i had been there before and he had not) will remind him of me. yada yada yada yada.

UGHHH. Time to snap rubber band and pray.

Sweetie, you know the answer to this as well as I do... Even if it's 20 years from now and he's flying to that same hotel in Miami, he's thinking of you! They won't forget us; you convinced me of that the other day! :)

Well, if this is true than I guess my XMM will be thinking of me on Mon. My H and I are heading to Kauai, a place XMM and I joked about going to "someday".

I am looking forward to spending lots of quality time with my H and I am so happy that he is the one I am going with. Reality is so much better than fantasy.

I'm pretty sure that my XMM will keep an eye on the weather forcast for Kauai and he may even try to figure out what flight we are on and track it, not in a creepy way, just making sure I'm safe. Anytime I had traveled while we were together he always made sure I made it by tracking my flight and he would keep an eye on the weather. He may not, but my gut says he will be checking. But either way, I don't really care to know.
