AAI,

5 weeks is Hugh! I am so very proud of you. Yes, modern technology does make it so much more difficult to sever communications, so it is completely up to us and our resolve to stick to NC. Blocking and deleting works too. ;-)

Did you ever see the movie Places in the Heart that took place in the depression era in rural Texas?

I deserve my Dignity.

i think this is a very interesting question. yes, it did used to be easier, think. but i wonder whether that was because we were younger, more resilient, and had less invested? technology sure made it a cakewalk for me to get into this big mess---i would never have had the guts to seek out an affair in person.
i'm agree with dignity on her "heartbreak is heartbreak" sentiment. we aren't the first, we won't be the last. it is part of the human condition. in the end, technology or not, it is up to us to find our strength and to take our lives back.
