I have been thinking about this topic of "stoning" for quite a while now. I honestly feel like every single person I encounter "knows". I have such shame. I am trying desperately to hold my head high. I'm still grieving the loss of my friends who were once there for me and now have distanced themselves from me for whatever reason. Emotionally it has gotten so much worse for me since getting that bizarre phone call from a woman who saw me at the gym and wanted to let my husband know that "she thinks I am seeing some guy at the gym". Nothing ever came of that, however, she really got to me. Anyway, I feel like I have been forgiven and I'm trying to get my mind right. I am going to go purchase the book "The Four Agreements". One of the agreements is "Don't take things personally". Has anybody read that?
Acting, I've not read The Four Agreements but it was highly recommended by my bestest Gay. He told me all about it and how it really changed his life. I'm off to go get it TODAY! Thanks for the reminder.
We stone ourselves and it is sooo counterproductive.
