The storm!

and it's being called the storm of the century.  We just lost power for 25 minutes.  Our Town can get off the main grid and use it's own generator, and it probably had to do that.  I am thankful it lasted only 25 minutes.  Now we can open the refrigerator at will...and I will :)  And the loss of heat would make me very uncomforable and extremely unhappy.  I'm a wimp.

Massachusetts is under a State of Emergency and everyone had to be off the road by 4:00 p.m. or face a $500.00 fine or jail time.  Jail time?  I doubt they would enforce THAT!  A little extreme, but we've been warned and it's important that the roads are free and clear for the plows.

I thought we had everything covered, but we realized we did not have a battery-operated radio.  With the whiteness of the snow outside, it was not all that dark really...needed only one candle.

We have many feral cats around the area...I worry about them.  I wonder if our Callie Cat is thinking back on the days when she was outdoors...before we brought her in.  Probably not.

I hope anyone who is facing this storm stays safe and warm and IN.

Post in and let us know if you are being effected by the storm and how you are holding up.

We went to start shoveling out today, and the snowblower sh*t the bed...ugh  So, here we are...at the end of a 200 ft. long driveway, completely socked in.  I guess it's comforting knowing that we don't need to get out, but it's more comforting knowing that we can if we want to.

Put a few calls into plowers and hoping to hear from one soon because tomorrow is going to rain...making for REALLY heavy snow.  The power has gone out three times, this last time remaining out for the longest....two hours.  I shouldn't complain, because the next town over has been without power since the storm...as I am sure other communities have been as well...but I'm complaining anyways.  It doesn't stop me from trying to use certain electrical appliances because I keep on forgetting, but that's me.

So, there's our storm watch update.  Oh and because the computer was down, I got some chores done that don't require electricity!  Too bad I couldn't vacuum...awwww.  Oh wait....I guess I could right now, huh...*snap* DAMN!

Hope whoever was effected by the storm is making out okay.

I worry about ppl who are homeless or those without heat or hydro...:(...

Our two fur-babies are curled up on my bed toasty but I worry about the feral cats to...we have a couple and one I had been kind of looking after, it's been so cold.

Hope everyone is okay.
