Thank you to our Leader and the Vets

I just wanted to say thank you specifically to our wonderful Leader and our Vets. They spend a lot of time on this board loving and supporting all us chickens, and sometimes it must be very discouraging and frustrating while one wave after another of desperate and lost newbie and tweeners struggle to get to a better place. I wonder if the satisfaction they get when one of us finally "gets it" is enough to sustain them - because it really is a huge commitment of time and emotional investment for them to hand-hold us through all this muck. They are invaluable to me, as are all the newbies and tweeners who share, and I just wanted to take a moment to THANK them. I want them to know that they are making a real, serious and valuable impact on my life and that, without them, and without this board, I'd be LOST. They are angels, giving of themselves and loving all us 'strangers' without expecting anything in return (other than we learn and grown and have healthier, happier lives.)

GOD BLESS THEM!

To all the present and past vets and cl's, I owe so much to. And if my family could say thank you - they would. Truly this board opened my eyes and every post I read got me further down the road to healing.

With so many newbies around and our darling Iddy enjoying a new stage of her life, I thought it might be a good time to bump up this old post, as my way of saying thank you to our wonderful vets - Clarity, Dee, E1, TU, Luvin ... - for giving so much back to this community. Finding this Board is without a doubt one of the best things that has ever happened to me and I will be forever grateful to you all for the love and time and compassion you offer.

Aw gee, Kat...thank you and everyone for your kind and appreciative words. If you, Kat, are not a Vet yet, I'd be surprised and I'm figuring your entry must be right around the corner. I marvel at your welcoming, compassionate and well-thought-out posts.

And yes, just pulling out one person from the muck and mire, is enough to sustain me. And knowing that we (all of us) might reach those lurking, and have them think again about starting up affair, that keeps us going too...preventive therapy :)

And yes, repeating oneself can be exhausting...that's why I take mini hiatuses...hiati? so I can come back refreshed. It does help when people read all posts, not just those directed at them, because people tend to ask the same question...and they more often than not will find the answer in another...even recent post.

Thank you for taking the time to bump up this thread. It's nice to be recognized and appreciated.

((hugs))

Kat,

How nice of you to bump this back up after such a long time. Heck, I was only one month in as CL when this was posted. Just to let you all know, I still poke my head in here occasionally and it's nice to see what a great job the vets are doing in supporting the newbies since my departure. Sometimes I forget, Kat, that you are not a Vet yet, but you certainly post like one.

Thank you Kat for bumping up (:

I was on second attempt at NC when I posted (Jodi_09) ... one month after first attempt at NC! OH MY GOSH how we grow and learn when we are truly committed to ending.

Love to my EAS family

I've read this post and loved seeing the friendship among you all and the support you have shown for one another. I feel kind of awkward posting here since it seems as though it is more of a post for the vets and brilliants.

However, I must add to this post that y'all have literally saved my life. Thank you for your wisdom, empathy, compassion, and tough love. I posted at a very dark place and was scared at the response I would receive. You gave me love and have held high expectations for me that I intend in follow. I want to show my respect for you by succeeding.

What a wonderful thread to be re-awakened!

I don't know what I would have done without this board and the vets and not-yet-vets who showed me compassion and understanding which i couldn't have found anywhere else.

Thank you all so much!
