Followingmyheart- Thank you. Thank you so much for this. I am fast approaching 3 months and I am already starting to feel what you wrote. I can't wait to reach 6 months, then a year... I ended it and I am not looking back. And you are right- NC is the only way to get there. Thank you for reiterating this for us and for giving us hope.

Hugs,

I loved your post! I feel in such a similar place as you describe. Those feelings while in the A were so high and my AP also professed and put into action all the "soulmate, love of my life, and true companion" words. He planned our life together completely. I was convinced I had found the man who would be my lost love. On our planned d-day the call arrived and he threw me completely under the bus and has never turned around since. That, after a torrid two year love affair.

Now, I too see through the heartbreak and suffering. I still miss the old "us", but I now know it was an illusion and that if a man loves a woman that much, he WOULD divorce rather than cheat. He would move mountains to be with the woman he professes to love.

I'm so glad to hear you are gaining your self-worth, dignity and family back. I look back and see how I neglected my life, my child, my world, for him and it makes me sad.

all the best! LL
