Things I can change vs. things I can't

Ok... this week DS age 6 has had influenza B and it has left me with lots of time at home to reflect on life :)
I have been struggling with frustating circumstances and I just need to type this out for my sake so bare with me. I tend to want to 'fix' (pleaser!!!) everything.

You're asking some great questions about which parts of our life are within our control and I'll be interested in the responses you get too. Kat.
Very good. Very true. You are clear about what you can control and what you can not. I am sorry to hear about your son and daughter. Your DD-she will understand one day and she will forgive you if she needs to. The key is talking to her and being very honest.
Yo Soy EL Capitan de Mi Vida
A really lovely post that shows the work you have been doing to peel apart who is responsible for what in the hurts caused by an affair. I love to see you separate our your choices, from the actions of your H. So ... now the challenge is to not hold yourself in fear over choices your children will one day make or not make. The beauty of fully embracing the notion that you made a mistake and you were human is that YOU WILL BE UNABLE to parent from a place of guilt or shame. We must be the living example that you can make mistakes in life and it doesn't define who you are ... mistakes aren't scarlet letters or shackles to be worn forever - and this is the hard part to hear ... IF YOUR HUSBAND is contributing in ANY way to the children thinking of you poorly, then you must reconsider what you are doing. If YOU are allowing your (admittedly abusive) husband to treat you any less (before or after the dday) ... THIS ALONE is sending the MOST powerful message to your children about your worth.
AND YOU ARE WORTH SO SO MUCH. I wish for YOU so much peace and Love. I think about you so often hoping that you are getting the support and advice you need my friend.
((hugs))
TU.
Thank you my dear friends for your comment.
