Time To Get Real

Been away for a while. I've read some posts when I had some free time. I've missed a lot of posts, but from what I've been able to read - wow, there's a whole lot of misery here ! Time to get real and grasp what you could lose before it's too late.

Anyway, I had a major health scare. It sometimes takes hearing the "C" word to make you realize how precious life is. Last week I went on a business trip with hubby and we had a layover in xAP's city. I halfway expected to see xAP in the airport, he travels so much.

I'm praying for you, Rena. Keep the faith, honey. Whatever it is, you will get through this.

rena, so sorry to hear you are going through this. A very good friend of mine just discovered she too has Lupus. I am hoping to meet with her soon and have lunch.

Please treat yourself with the uttermost kindness and respect. Stay NC and stay in your real life, you deserve that. Take care, hugs to you.

Thank you guys for the well wishes - I'm trying to keep my spirits up & the NC...

One things I've learned lately is that it could ALWAYS be worse and for someone else out there it is.... so Im looking at the blessings in my life and how blessed I am..... and not pining away over what or who I don't have;)

Blessings & hugs to you all.

Hi BandK,

Your post brought up something someone once told my sister when she was going through a hard time. It was a total stranger at that. She was young in her early twenties at the time (I believe) and had just wrecked her car (totaled it) and was not able to get a new car at the time. She felt like her whole world was crushed. She was standing in line at the market or somewhere and she was crying. An older man asked her what was wrong and she explained

Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are probably right. A parrot can repeat what it has learned but the mark of true intelligence is applying what is learned.

Hi bandk,

I meant to post to you awhile ago, but couldn't find your post. Wondering how you're recovering? Thank goodness this turn of events did not occur when you first went NC, as emotions run wild and too much to deal with when illness raises its ugly head,

As I did with another poster, I'm adding a link to a site that might be helpful to you. I have a good friend that used it when she went through similar issues. I've read many posts on the site and learned things I never realized that we women don't know.

Take care of yourself and I do love your posts as they are so encouraging to Newbies.

Hugs and best to you,

Mish

Thank you so much Mish. I'm recovering and healing. It will be something I have to live with, but I'm learning to live for now, today and not worry so much about the future.

Hugs to you :-)

bandk,

When you say it's something you have to live with, I do hope there are options and treatments for you, but you do sound in good spirits which is a good thing. Life really sucks, but then the A was a real sucker, and we got beyond that one thank goodness.

Take care and post or email if you need or want to talk :)

Mish
