I think I understand very well what you're going through, Dee, and I think Luvin's answer that maybe it's just time for Dee to chill for a little while is spot on.
I can relate your thoughts to another aspect of my life. I have spent the past 8 years immersed in an organization, putting in hundreds of volunteer hours. Last year I got to lead a large project associated with this organization--it was a huge honor with much media attention and accolades from all over. After the project launched this past summer, my
I was writing something similar to what RBM wrote when this sight wigged out and ate my post. Arggg! So, I will try again. Being a Vet means it's time to "pay it forward," There are always newbies and tweeners in need of a good head thumping and you now have the widsom and insight to do that with your brilliant and to the point Deester style.
The numbness could be for many reasons, but if you need a fire lit under your arse, I'm getting out the matches now. :smileysurprised: Perhaps take a little breather, but remember that making it all about "us" is what got us in trouble in the first place. During those healing months it is adamant that we make it about us, but if you feel you've BTDT, then please pass on your knowledge to those in need. We have a shortage of Vets around here, woman, and I really could use your help.
I wonder if this isn't a time to re-direct the energy you have, and the insights you have gained outwards? By this I mean, I wonder if there are other ways that you can engage with self-growth other than the work that you've done up to this point?
Volunteer? Join a writing group? Book club? Look for opportunities to "contemplate" where you've been, where you would like to go, in different ways.
