It was so thoughtful of you to drop in and say "Hello." What you said about feeling absolutely nothing towards your XAP I can totally relate to. Yeah, we still work together, but like you said, I have no recollection of when I stopped caring either. I am guessing that the heart just heals in it's own time, and then you wake up one morning and realize you hadn't thought about this person "in that way" in ages. This is when you know he has dropped off of your radar, even when you still see him as I do 5 days a week. It's been business as usual for over a year now, ever since he messed up last August and had an "out of the blue"weak moment. His getting shut down finally made
So much wisdom and support in your words, thanks for sharing them with us. There is light at the end of the affair tunnel and you are living proof. hugs to you!! great post.
Hi, Victory! It's posts like this that make my heart thrill. It's wonderful to hear from the Vets and I'm so glad you're stopping in.
We all need to hear that there is an end to these feelings. It gives us hope. Getting over the A it two-pronged - getting over X, and getting over ourselves. I think it's going to take me a heck of a lot longer to get over myself (and deal with my issues that got me in an A in the first place) than it's going to take to get over JAM. "I'm going to love you forever"... yah, ok. no. I apologetically submit my retraction to that statement out into the universe!
I hope you'll come by often; we NEED you. Best, Dee
Thank you so much for stopping in to say hello - and to remind us that our lives are created, they don't just happen to us. We have to keep working, knowing at our core that it is leading to a better place.
There is so much comfort to be found in your post, and I am so grateful for your wisdom and perspective.
Much love,
TU.
