What are your plans for NYE?

I'll be ringing in the New Year in my usual fashion...alone.  MH in our 10 years has never made it up to see the ball drop.  That's fine with me...total control of the remote and the TV.  Callie Kitten, who has been with us now for a year...you will remember she was my Christmas present last year from MH (that we would take her in from the outdoors) will probably be curled up beside me on the couch.Southie Kitten, who was my Christmas present 10 years...well, she was sitting under the tree of the woman who caught her and brought her in and found her a home (mine) is still somewhat in hiding and will remain downstairs...hiding under something.  I'll be happy that I am not among the throng in Time Square...with a bunch of potential drunks...freezing my ass off and probably having to pee, which always happens when there is no bathroom.

Going to make any resolutions?

I'll make one I can break and one that will hopefully take, and that will be to find some kind of activity or project that gets me up and out a little more.  I'm thinking I might go back to the learning center where I volunteered before.  I'd play with the babies and kids while their moms were in class learning how to be good single moms.  Besides fostering children for a year, volunteering at this learning center, which was a home for single moms, was the single most rewarding thing I've ever done. I mean, it's so easy to be patient and just have fun with the kids....I not with them 24/7.  My heart would swell when I would show up in the morning and they would see me, come running over screaming out my name...and it was hugs galore...nothing beats it.

I think the Stooges are on NYE too...NYUCK NYUCK.  If TV land gave me a wish "what show would you like to see"...it would be "Too Cute"...my goodness I can't get enough of too cute.  Puppies and kittens at play and coming of age.  That always raises the ole serrotonin level and I'm always meaning to suggest that to anyone who is feeling blue.  It's sure fire way to snap one out of their funk.

Make a Wish

I wish that everyone finds what it takes to find peace, harmony and joy within themselves.

So...that's me.  What are your plans?

Happy New Year all - our plans are to get together with about 30-40 longtime friends for a communal party at a small hall in our town. We divvy up the work, everything from set up and lights to music and food and cleanup. Costs almost nothing, we all can drive home a short distance safely, and no one is left out of a smaller house party.

My resolutions are to clean up my act! Including A mementoes that are still lurking in various places, but also I am really looking forward to being engaged in my own household and doing things around the house. For several months post-A I was still working sometimes 80 hours a week at my fulltime job plus a freelance project I had undertaken to pay for flights/hotels etc. stuuuupid! Talk about an addiction...but now, that extra work ended and I look forward to working WITH DH, on little things and activites that are representative of us, or maybe just meaningful to me, but are in my RL instead of fantasy land. I am so thankful that I still have a DH, and still have longtime friends - they are the real gifts.

Much happiness to everyone in the coming year -

The best laid schemes of mice and men..... I had planned on having family and friends over, but I have been bed bound this past two days with a horrid flu, my energy levels are zero so Im thinking I may well sleep through it  I will try not to though..... My resolution is to keep moving forward, to be thankful for my loving family and to never ever put their happiness at risk again. My wish is an Irish toast to you all.... There are good ships, and there are wood ships, The ships that sail the sea. But the best ships, are friendships, And may they always be.  Happy New Year to all at EAS Much Love  Sunny Soon Xxxx

Keeping it low key here. We have invited 2 families over..plan to eat a lot, watch movies, visit and try to stay awake until midnight. No blowing things up this year. We usually blow things up;)

Goal is to become fluent in spanish again. I use a lot of spanish at work but it has become rusty...need to study a little. Got the whole Rosetta Stone spanish program for christmas...hoping to start from the beginning and work my way through.

Wish..that we all can find healing and remember (or learn) how to fully engage in living.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy new years.
