Hi everyone,

I've been reading here today and several times I read about some xAP's (or all?) being predators.
I think I needed to hear that again, and more examples of what predators do are very welcome. It might help to see things more clearly?

Since I used the term, I'll give it a go.

Hi HTGO,

I used that term because in my eyes he has the characteristics of what I think is a predator. His ability to hurt and manipulate me/people without a conscious or emotion attached to it...the lack of remorse, the empty and cold they are inside and

Hi HTGB,

Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are probably right. A parrot can repeat what it has learned but the mark of true intelligence is applying what is learned.

Hi HTGO,

Personally I wouldn't use the term predator. I am more inclined to call them manipulating vampires (aka narcissists). They are self-centered and look towards others to elevate them, sucking out their energy without giving anything back in return.

I don't really think it's premeditated. I think they spot something they want, and like a self-centered child they go after it without thinking of the hurt and pain they will eventually cause to the very people they are supposed to 'love'. They don't genuinely care for others, they just think of themselves.

Hey everyone,

Thank you all for answering. I asked because I think
my xap is a predator too. He doesn't care one bit about
what he did to me and he seems to be pure evil.

Hi Lynn
You are right, we need to concentrate on ourselves and we need to be concerned with us and not with them. It's just so hard to watch them walk away without feeling the tiniest bit of pain. But I should stop thinking about that. It's kinda hard though when you see the happy xap each and every day. I hate it.
