Thank you so much for expressing your appreciation. It's nice coming from a man. You hit the nail on the head when you said, "where would we all be if not for a mother." And I believe there are a lot on this board who are new/young mothers who could stand to give what you said a lot of thought. You know, it is NOTHING TO CONCIEVE a child, and giving birth is a challenge. But to bring a human life into the world and truly take on the responsiblity of making sure he or she has a healthy upbringing in today's world is the biggest challenge any woman can face.

I believe that more of us need to think about our responsibility as a parent and learn to set the proper examples for our kids. Think of how wonderful our world would be then.

Hugs all around. Again notsureto, thanks.

THANK YOU for remembering the moms here... it's something I don't talk a lot about on this board (my kids) but they are a big reason why I'm here... why I need to fix my life and be a mother they can look up to and be proud of... and not be a mom who cries all day either!

Hugs to ALL the moms and anyone who ever had a mom too :-)

Hi You! Thank You! You're always so kind and so quiet! I want you to know the healing train pulled out already and I hope you were holding on Mister! Because it's full speed ahead! Happy Mother's Day to you too! In this day and age it takes 2 mom's and 2 dad's to make it all work ( 1/2 man 1/2 woman/++++ 1/2 woman 1/2 man!!!!!)! Holy Guacamole!

Thankyou, notsureto, today (Mother's Day)was a happy day to enjoy and treasure. =) Motherhood is by far the best, most rewarding thing that I have ever done. Motherhood challenges me in ways I never imagined. It also brings the greatest depths of joy imaginable! Some days I feel like a superhero, swooping in and rescuing my little girl from a big kid on the playground. Other days I'm a a gourmet chef, (Isn't Mac and Cheese gourmet?) that can whisk up a meal with shapes and smily faces never before concocted in the quest to impress my 5 yr old. Some days my patience is stretched to the max ( I dont have the luxury of going "postal", ha ha ha)and some days my heart is bursting with joy over loving someone so little more than life itself.

Mother's Day is a day where the pamperer is pampered, and I hope thats true for every Mom who's reading this now. Mother's day can also be a time of reflection each year of who we are as a mother: the very heart of the family.

(((Hugs))) to everyone, not just the moms! This whole message board has been a constant source of support, wisdom, and honesty. Hope everyone had a good weekend! =) ~Mel~
