Ah, yes. How about the time my truck threw a tie rod on the way to meet with xAP? Fortunately I hadn't gotten very far on the way and was still near enough to home that I could have explained where I was when it broke. I was always so relieved when I was back in my own territory, just in case something happened.
The chances we all take are breathtaking. I have so much compassion now for people who really f*ck up. I know now how easy it is to lose control of your life. How it's only a little thing at first and grows until you realize there's no easy way out anymore.
And then there was the parking ticket I got while parked in front of xAP's house on street cleaning day.
