So, the owner of the other A board got religion and closed the board.  That's just too funny.  I guess he was too ashamed of all the dough he made in the last few years running that board.

So, NOW WHAT? SmileSmile

Wow...that's kind of strange.

Think he'll give that money back or donate all of it?

LOL  Probably the case.  :)

I love how he went the whole "plausible deniability" route - oh, I made the place, but I never really READ anything...

Uh huh...

Yeah, it was weird when I read a while back that he was opposed to A's but put up a board. The posts were cool though. At least, everyone seemed to kinda get along. It's so sad this this board is all quiet. We ruled back in the day! :)

I didn't read there, I confess.  I've been out too long, or something.  :)

But yes, the boards are too quiet, everywhere, and it's sad all over.

I remain hopeful that they can get things fixed and working again, and people will come back.  I'm an optimist!  :)

Well, it seems to work today :) I've read that there was another change-over and this had happened before. I hope your optimism works and the boards get swinging again!!

I was a lurker here first tgen went over to the other board when this one crashed. I think its gross what happened over there and I am hoping that the crowd comes here to revive MAS. I miss my daily reads and tge thought it provoked in me. The disgusting comments on the final goodbye make me want to throw up with the moral high and mighties. I really found this to be a support and still need it so Ill be happy to help in reviving this board. Even my AP found the threads interesting and it helped us lay our foundation in our A and figure out how to do this and what we wanted.

I'm sad. I liked that board (or at least most of it). There was always a lot going on, you could pick and choose. I don't agree with everything said on there but hey, to each his own. It's just sad that it's going away right on the heels of these IV boards. Hopefully somebody else will come pick up the slack.....

Heartbeat, as you know, the family court (divorce, custody) etc witnesses more violence than criminial court, and there is a reason for that. Topics that we discuss are very divisive and emotional. That doesn't give anyone licence to be insensitive, rude or callous, but that's life. That's why I liked that there are "walls" here at IVillage.

I am still suspicious of Doccool's agenda. It seems he's still wanting to make some bucks while he's going away in a bang. He won't be the first greedy webmaster, nor the last. It's a shame he is still hiding behind some unknown agenda, behind the best intentions of those who posted there to support and be supported.

I am with you. Let's revive this board.  It sure has been around much longer than that one! :)

Jana,

I was very surprised that there were no "walls" there, and that doccool was very anti-A from the get-go. It just didn't add up.

If "we" all continue posting here -and cross our fingers that it won't crash-- we can start the revival right here.
