Bringing back the "squirrels"

Quite awhile ago on this board there was much talk of "squirrels".
It was kind of fun and silly, and it helped to relieve anxiety. What do "squirrels" have to do with us?
Well, you know how you get when your AP has dropped out of sight and off the planet, it seems, and your mind goes crazy trying to figure it out? What did I say what did I do what does this mean is it over should I cry why won't the phone ring/e-mail arrive/text message appear and on and on and on...
That's what we used to call "squirrels", those runaway thoughts, as if our minds are attics and the squirrels are trapped there, scurrying about, ramming into walls and getting hysterical, just like we are. We need someone to come and chase the squirrels out of there!
Chances are you AP is busy and not worrying about a thing. Everything's fine, it's not over and you should relax. See? I just got rid of your squirrels. That's me, chasing them out. Big shovel and all!
Telling everyone about your squirrels usually helps to get rid of them. So share them anytime. The "squirrel brigade" is here to help. :-)

How's this for squirrels: I try to break things off with AP because I just can't handle the squirrels.
Just have to tell you all that this thread saved me from a mini crisis today :)
As I stated in my story, my A is fairly new...I guess, as A's go. ( A went late summer to late fall, ended...basically NC for 3 months...started communicating again on a personal level as opposed to just professionally in Feb and then in April things really started heating back up.)
Anyway, last week seemed a rather pivotal one and we talked quite a bit...haven't met up for anything physical, and I'm going to take that aspect SLOW, but we definitely broke through some emotional stuff last week. So much so that I was on cloud nine all weekend and throughout today...
I hadn't heard from all day after some really touching moments Friday. We don't talk over the weekends. Had to contact him about work-related stuff and he was short and to the point.

hey Kimber!
All righty...I'm bringing this one back up to the top because I'm trying to run some squirrels off!!
Or "Be gone before someone drops a house on you!"
I'm pretty lucky today: squirrels were bad yesterday, but today, I'm so darn tired, they could run wild all over my house, and I wouldn't care;)

LOL I never thought about the babies! Funny thing is, they grow to huge adult size so quick if they're not "settled down" quickly! Glad you got yours settled while it was still a cute little baby. :-)
