I've been sinking into these mini bouts of depression (ok sometimes not so mini) about my 3 year A.

Unfortunately, I don't think you can "snap out of it" because A's cause this kind of emotional upheaval. There are so many ups and downs to an A. :(

Anotherfive- that was a very inspirational post thank you. I am in that place you were- startin to realise how much I am doing to perpetuate this and increasingly realising that he can(and has) called it off with the blink of an eye. It has made me miserable but I have realised how strong I am and what reat things I have in my life. I am stepping back a bit, maybe it will make him step closer, maybe it will make him walk away. I really dont know, but I know I'll be ok eirher way.

Lots of hugs for you, touchofgray.
I do know how you feel. It really gets you so low at times, no matter how many reassuring words AP gives.
I’m in a bit tougher situation coz I’m in an LDA – 9 seas apart (yup, I counted hehe) from AP.
I keep telling myself to “live in the moment.” It’s much much easier said than done, I know. It’s difficult for me too ... we just have to take those little steps at a time.
I hope this link helps:
