Do you wear your wedding ring?

When you are with your OM/MM, do you take off your ring? Does he take off his?

I have been taking mine off just because I do not like to see it flashing in my face especially during those intimate moments. Also, I simply want to focus on my OM and do not want either of us to have a reminder of reality.

How do you handle it?

Good question.

I never take off my rings. It doesn't bother any of us. In fact, when he's driving he usually holds my hand and often plays with my rings, turning them around my finger. He has commented on them too, says they're pretty.

Is that weird?

I always have my rings on, but he hasn't worn his ring in years. It doesn't fit him anymore. So it's not unusual.I like that he doesn't have his on, and I know it doesn't bother him that I wear mine.

Thanks for all the interesting responses. Most people tend to leave them on, it seems. I wonder how much of that is a reflection of the way we feel toward our M. I have been doubting my M for a while. It's funny that I almost think that I take it off just to let my OM know that when I'm with him, I'm only with him. I'm definitely not thinking of my H. Thanks again!

I am late jumping in here... MM and I both have always left our rings on... never discussed it... 1) don't want to risk losing them 2) the rings don't really hold us back since we know what our situtation is and what the marriage situtaions are about and 3) it IS a reminder of the reality. I don't think that is a bad thing... esp in my case where the marriages are not going to be ending... so, maybe his ring is a suble 'reality check" for me... I know there have been times when we are holding hands or cuddling and that ring is right there... As much as I hate it, that is the way it is... I need to accept that. :)

I'm a jewelry freak and wear many rings, all of which I shift around given my outfit for the day. I purchased my own wedding ring and our rings were not incorporated into our ceremony due to my mothers religion believing it is not necessary to adorn your body with things. So in a sense it's just another of my trinkets. I do think my ring is gorgeous so I do enjoy wearing it and it just happens to fit best on that ring finger but then again so do many of my other rings.

So as you can guess I don't always have it on but there is always A ring on that finger.

I always wear mine. OM is single so that is not an issue. He has commented that my ring bothers him.

yeah, i obviously don't have any rings that mean anything, except my class ring (lol i'm SUCH a kid) and when omaha and i started getting serious, i asked him if and when he wore it. he said in public, and at work, during the day at home. and i asked him why, and told him it upset me... and needless to say, his ring, along with his marriage are no more.
