I'm really aggravated! I talked to OM this afternoon and he PROMISED to call me after he got done work (5:30pm) and he was gonna try to come up! Well, I have not received a phone call. He knows this pisses me off! I understand if he can't make it up here but he should at least have the courtesy to call me! If I do not recieve a call tonight, I am calling him and breaking it off! Is that right of me or am I overreacting?

When anyone makes arrangements to spend time with you, call you, whatever... then just doesn't show, it's rude and irresponsible. We expect better of our friends, mates, kids, etc., so why shouldn't we expect this of the OM. By standing someone up you are showing them that their time is not as valuable as yours. This why it drives us nuts when our OM doesn't do what he says he will. However, as Gurl stated so succinctly, this is not your normal R. This is EXTRA. Don't wait for the guy, certainly have some expectations about how you are willing to be treated -- and keep them high! But don't make the mistake of playing games with him, or letting him play them with you. This whole business is so hard already. I would tell him what my expectations are, then be prepared to walk if he won't (or can't) meet them. After all, you are valuable and need to have your 'line in the sand.' Good luck, hon.
