Facebooking your AP

My AP person requested me to add me to her friends' list. The idea of having her as my fb buddy is tempting, but I am not sure if it is a good idea. We never discussed about adding each other to our fb, but she managed to search me through google. Anyone done this? Should I go ahead and accept her?

If you add her, set some boundaries!
No posting on each other's walls. If she messages you, make sure to delete in your inbox and sent folder.
Neither of you should be posting on each other's walls, Liking anything, or commenting on anything!

I have my AP on Facebook and I think those rules are important in keeping it a secret. The only thing I find annoying is that I end up kinda creeping him a lot and get irritated when I see other girls writing on his wall (especially ones we work with).

My AP and I are friends on Facebook, however, we've been friends for a long time, and were friends on FB before our A began.

As you can see from the mix of answers, everyone is different on whether their AP is or should be a FB friend.

My H is not an "internet" person for social reasons (he uses the internet for many other things but not social). He has no facebook page. I do, and my OM is a facebook friend, along with many other cyber friends, high school and college friends, work friends, family, etc etc. I think the more friends you have, the easier if is to "blend in" an AP. My OM was a cyber friend before he was my OM, and I have other male (and female) "cyber friends" on there, so if asked, I would just say he's one of my many cyber friends. We do not post on each other's wall, or comment or "like" anything. We do not use the messaging feature - we stick to e-mail. I have the messenger there turned off because I hate unexpected messaging when I'm pressed for time LOL.

So I guess whether or not to add an AP is all individual.

LOL...one never knows! The "island" in your screen name made me curious! Of course there are many islands in NE! Not sure how I will react if you happen to be my neighbor...

I am not near Boston so you can let out a sigh of relief! I am on one of the Great Lakes! I just love vacationing in the islands so that is really where the screen name came from. I love being on the water. Nothing like the soothing sound of the shore and sand between my toes (and in my bathing suit) lol!
