Hi all
Just to let you know he texted a few times yesterday and is calling on Monday. Recap- he is overseas at present with work and returns on Thursday, the day after I have an abdominal hysterectomy. So I havent seen him in 2 weeks and I have heard from him only once before yesterday. I wont get to see him for ages

Hi Iggy,
Glad that you have heard from AP, the waiting to hear from them
I'll be thinking of you Iggy, and I hope everything goes well with your operation!
One question, is it a total hysterectomy (with removal of ovaries also)? If it is, has your doctor mentioned hormone replacement therapy at all? The sudden and extreme drop of hormones can cause all sorts of emotional and physical symptoms, and some doctors don't think it's such a big deal. It is. I don't know this from personal experience (still have all my parts) but I have researched a lot and decided years ago to do all I could to keep my parts, for this reason. And if I had to lose some parts, I was armed with knowing what I would be demanding - bioidentical hormone therapy!
There might actually be a board here about hysterectomy. I know it's kind of late to research things NOW, but at least you might know where to go to get a good handle on what you might need. There's also "Power-surge" message boards. They are WONDERFUL! Google power-surge and you will find them, and the site, which has a wealth of information.
I'll be thinking of you!
You've got a lot of choices. If getting out of bed in the morning is a chore and you're not smiling on a regular basis, try another choice. ~Steven D. Woodhull

Lex you are lovely!
Yes I did all my research and had many conversations with friends, doctors and specialists. As anal as I am about my A- thats how I am with life too :)
I had one ovary removed in Feb due to tumours. I had an ablation at that time too- ie burning out uterus lining. But my body is a trooper and is STILL having randon periods despite no uterus lining- go figure:) So out she goes.
