you are right.. he's in it just for the sex.. otherwise, in times of stress like he's in now, he's seek your friendship and support, as you would if the tables were turned..

listen to your instincts. if you are happy being a play thing and it serves your purposes as well, enjoy the ride. otherwise, it appears it's time to move on before you get hurt even more.

Good for you, for backing off a little. I agree, I wouldn't mention past texts. It's in the past. Focus on the here and now. I'm happy for you that he is texting you. You could try to let some time elapse before responding. Make him think a little. Not too look so needy and that you are giving him his space. Men are all about their space and you're doing the right thing.
