Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Thu, 02-14-2013 - 10:21am

Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!!!!

How do you intend to spend it?  Me, well, when I left this morning, dh was sick in the bathroom, and last I checked huddled in bed.  He doesn't look good.  As for AP, I don't expect anything, and I am not even saying anything.  Whenever I send a holiday greeting, he hits ignoreville.  Live and learn! Tongue Out

Happy Valentine's Day to all!

Nothing special today other than happy little exchanges.. sometimes, a little funny card, or a small but personal phrase sent/said at the right time is all that's needed in my slightly complicated world..

PS what a sweet card!!

AP 1 who has made it very clear he has no feelings for me, we're just friends, sent me a nice little happy valentines email this morning... ending it with "here's a hug and a kiss, XO".  Very thoughtful of him.

AP2 who once poured his heart out to me, telling me how much he loved me has said nothing.  But then he also never wished me a happy birthday or merry Christmas and didn't understand why I thought he should even acknowledge me on those days.  So when V-day came around... I expected nothing and so far, that's exactly what I got.  Although I did send him a quick one liner "happy valentines day".  I doubt he will acknowledge it.

So it's interesting, while AP1 and I are just getting closer (2 years at the end of this month), AP2 and I are getting further and futher apart.  But it's all okay because my dh is who really matters and he loves me.  The other two are just friends, nothing more.

I had a Happy Valentine's Day email first thing from AP and I sent him a poem....

Those Who Love by Sara Teasdale Those who love the most,
Do not talk of their love,
Francesca, Guinevere,
Deirdre, Iseult, Heloise,
In the fragrant gardens of heaven
Are silent, or speak if at all
Of fragile inconsequent things.

And a woman I used to know
Who loved one man from her youth,
Against the strength of the fates
Fighting in somber pride
Never spoke of this thing,
But hearing his name by chance,
A light would pass over her face

What a beautiful poem.  Had to go look up Sara Teasdale.

"A light would pass over her face"..

How sweet.

Thanks, Katuk.

AP does not celebrate V Day at home. It is not a big issue with us. We still continue to express love/romance towards each other just about everyday.

When I first got married, we did not really celebrate V Day. I did not mind because my H would do quite a few romantic and loving gestures throughout the year and I never felt like I was missing out on anything in regards to V Day.
