Haven't been here in awhile

What is it about the holidays that bring on all the bummed out feelings?? I have been in an A with a MM for over a year and a half now. Found this board after a period of NC last holiday season, right before we started up again. I received a lot of help and brutal honesty that helped me focus on what I really wanted. I have been keeping on a pretty level emotional rollercoaster for quite some time now. Then, along comes the holiday season, and it is just depressing.

Everything is just so busy, for me and for him. He has his family, I have my children. The time we usually get together, while not much, has dwindled to even less. Christmas is the time where I want to be with the people I love the most. And he can't be one of them. :(

And I have no right to be mad or jealous of the time he spends at home. I entered this relationship with my eyes wide open. I know that if he didn't have a child at home, he would be here. But man, I just wish he was here.

He went out of his way to be extra attentive in the last few months. I knew then that it was because he knew the time was coming where we wouldn't have much time together for awhile.

He loves me. And that has never been in question.

I guess I am just here to pout tonight! I can't do it to him, and I have no one else to pout too! Hope no one minds!!

I miss him like crazy, and I just want it to be January!!

Thanks for listening!

sorry you're feeling bummed out cfh. it is hard to be away from someone you love and care about. however, you can stay in touch with MM and hopefully talk (or email or whatever you do) during the season. AND make plans to see each other after all the holiday stuff is over - in january! something to look forward to is always uplifting to your spirits.

enjoy the holiday season!
