Help! H found cell number

H went through our phone bill and saw AP's number repeatedly in the last few months and I told him it was a friend from work. He doesn't believe me and now wants to meet "her". I have no clue what to do. Help please.

Oh wow! This is a tough one and I don't know if I can be any help. So...let's see.

You already told him it was a "her" from work...did you say she was here in the same place as you or could you say she is in a different state? Another office and you guys have been talking via cell?

If that won't work...is there anyone that you work with that you could confide in and ask to cover for you? If not, then you may just have to spin a more elaborate story for H.

Could you say that you have befriended someone new to the office who is going through a really rough time in a relationship right now, and that you two have been talking on cell after hours but that it's not really a "hang out and meet each other's spouses" kind of friendship. That you have been "mentoring" her in both work matters and some personal things that she is going through, but that neither of you want to go hang out.

That's about all I have for right now...sorry if none of this was any help. Sending you big ((((HUGS)))) that this will work out for you.

Yikes!

You got some good ideas from loulou: hopefully one of them will work for you.

If you manage to come through this unscathed, I would highly recommend getting a prepaid phone to use when talking with AP so H doesn't know and can't track it.

Have you warned your AP about this? Your H very well might call that number - he might even use your cell phone to do so if he gets ahold of it. Make sure your AP won't recognize your number and answer in some affectionate "pet name" sort of way.
