Ok, I need your help. I am trying really hard not to overthink things, so on a more positive angle...

I read an article (posted through here or another support board, not sure) about hotels that offer "day rates" but are there any that AREN'T strictly for the red light district? I ask because we can't keep meeting at my house (nosey neighbors) and I have no idea how to find out about a (nice... is that possible?) hotel where we can go to be alone. Daytime hours are easiest for us to get away.

Any suggestions?

Hi Anna,

Well working in the hotel business, I do know that nice hotels do have day rates. Most of the people who use the hotel for the day are people who can't check out at the regular time and need to stay later. But you can get a room without looking suspicious if you just say that you need the room for a couple of hours to have a meeting, take the kids swimming, a nap because your in the middle of a long car ride...

Just FYI the rates on day rates will be almost just as much as a regular rate because after you leave they can't rent the room again till the next day. So if privacy is a big issue just rent the room for the night and leave early just don't physically go and check out...your credit card will be charged. So if you don't want your credit card charged just pay cash and leave your credit card on file so that they won't take a cash deposit from you that you will have to pick up on your way out...that way no one will no that you left at 3pm rather than 7am the next morning.

Hope this helps,

Happy

Ok, granted I'm not in the hotel business but we go almost every week. We have 2 different places that we go to. One in a local chain and one is a major chain. The cost that we pay is $40.00(day rate) cash and it's a real nice place. The only thing they need is a copy of my driver’s license. I always give them my expired one because it has my old address on it:) MM when he gets there first he does the same. My suggestion would be to call around to some hotel in your area. If you're near an Airport, they're pretty good on the day rates because people come in all the time to conduct interviews and such. Am I making sense? LOL! Anyway, good luck! NMR
