Well this will be the first holiday season that I've spent w/o him. I know that hes gone and thats his choice, but it doesn't make it any easier. All i can do is think of him, day and night. He haunts my every moment while I'm awake and my dreams at night. I don't know how I'm going to get thru this season this year. I can't really be too open w/ my friends and family, i don't like feeling judged, and i swear if i hear one more time how time heals all wounds I'm going to totally loose it!! I try to keep myself busy going to the gym, or finding some meaningless task at home to occupy my time, but the nights are the worst! all i can do is lay in bed alone and think!! Any suggestions are much appreciated.

I know it sound corny, but go volunteer at a soup kitchen or homeless shelter. When you see those much more unfortunate than yourself, you may realize you have a lot and your life does not hinge on your AP.

Thats what I do..I volunteer all the time and keep my schedule soo busy that I don't have time to even think about myself lol. The holidays are a rough time for a lot of people.

Immerse yourself in family and family events over the holidays. :)

Learn to enjoy the company of family and friends again. Start a family board game night or some other hobby night. Maybe join some events at a community hall.

Truly take the time to spend with siblings, nieces, nephews, parents and get to know them all over again. Watch the small things like the looks on their faces when they are having fun and capture them in photos. There is nothing more satisfying than relearning to enjoy those small things over the holidays. :)
