Well, I guess I could say that I am experienced.
To be honest, I have no idea why I would have gotten myself into another situation, especially at this point in my life, where I know that only pain and sorrow can stem. Oh believe me, I do thrive on the high points as well, but essentially, even though my first A ended up in my favour, there was a ton of heartache along with it.
I was very young (17) and still lived at home with my parents. I fell in love with "J" the moment I saw him. We worked together (my job was part-time while I was in high-school). It was the same connection, that we all know. He wasn't married yet, but he and his high-school sweetheart were living together (for 4 years) and planning their wedding. We worked in a very close-knit atmosphere and many of the employees were friends, and we all socialized with each other outside of work. It was due to that situation, that I was even very involved with the wedding plans, parties etc. The day he married was the saddest day of my life (to that point).
Two months later, we started our A. They remained living together for 11 months after the marriage. We have been together ever since (20 years). I have to tell you, there was much turmoil and confusion in the early years. Not only did he have a jilted wife, who was very bitter, but I had my disapppointed parents, who hated "J" for luring me into his life. They thought I would end up hurt. I did. But, only because of the situation and my feelings of being torn between my family and my true love.
Now, twenty years later, I subject myself and my family to the exact same situation, except of course, this time we are MW and MM in an A, and this time I did not end up with the MM. The only similarity is that I am left hurt. My H is heart-broken. He says the only reason he's not p*ssed off, is because he remembers what it was like when we first started our A.
We have a lot of work ahead of us if we are going to get through this together. We did it once, I guess we can do it again!
