I saw this on FB today, and I'm not sure he really said it, but I do think it is interesting. I'm not sure I agree with the sentiment, but it did make me think. And, oh yeah, he's so hot...he could say "Blahbetty blah blah blah" and as long as I get to look at those brooding dark eyes, it's all good.
“Just keep moving forward and don't give a sh!t about what anybody thinks. Do what you have to do, for you.” Johnny Depp
Takes most people a long time to get to this place of sense of self, what with "society" and all its judgmental enjoyment in mockery of others choices as we journey through this thing called life....
Off topic, but I had to comment. I love that picture JJ!!! You look so clean, beautiful, & summery all at the same time
And Johnny Depp doesn't look so bad either.
Sorry Janejosie, neither do i find Johnny Depp hot, nor do i agree with his quote..
I like that quote but it is scary to think how easily you could slide into entirely selfish behavior, which isn't good for a person either. I have seen enough reports of Johnny Depp acting in a kind and generous way to know he must have found some sort of balance. It would be so freeing to really just do that...say the things you are thinking and do what makes you happy.
Thanks smallthings and itstime! I'm especially glad to know that I look clean since I'm such a dirty girl underneath.
I don't think Johnny Depp can take a bad photo. I used to have a poster of him from his 21 Jump Street days on my wall when I was a kid. I molested that poster! LOL...and I was only like 10! I love the pretty ones...
Yes, he is single again cowgirl. Apparently he was involved in a A since around 2009 with a costar from a movie he filmed then. My sis reads all the blind vice (celebrity gossip) sites, and there was talk for several years that things were not good with him and his long-time girlfriend (and mother of his two kids).
You don't have to apologize for your opinion. That just means one less woman I have to fight to get him to marry me...lol.
I'm not sure I agree with the quote either. I do and I don't.
I guess it goes back to the old "Can you love somebody and fall in love with another person?" argument we have seen on here. I personally don't have the capacity to do that, but I have seen enough people on here who say it happened to them.
The crux of the idea is the deifnition of love. I think Johnny is talking about the type of love where you would do anything to protect the person, and when you fall for somebody else, you obviously aren't feeling that sort of love for your spouse. But my definition of love is less romantic and less idealized. I think you can love somebody and it can be a messed up sort of love sometimes. My idea of love seems broader than his.
