That L Word again...cropping up all over

He wasn't careless with the word before. He maybe let it slip once or twice. But now it is all over our sex talk to each other...He's been very "careless" with the use of the word.
But I LOVE this part of the relationship. Before the ILU phrase is spoken. But where you KNOW each other is feeling it.
Nothing greater than that. I never have been the one to plant the "ILU" bomb first. I waited first, but usually got it way too soon, even though I supposedly felt like I was waiting for so long for those words...you know, 3-5 weeks into a relationship.
But this waiting and hoping and wondering and pondering and overthinking stuff is exciting.
Sorry to gush for all those going through hard times, but we all have those ups & downs, albeit in different ways and degrees. And I'm in my gushing, up stage.

I know just what you mean. Except my MM has mixed it up a bit. He told me when we reunited that he had to tell me he had "deep feelings for you dee, deeper than you probably realize" and has said "As much as I love you ...No you can't" . Also has told me a song by Dean Martin reminds him of me and he plays it all the time in his car. Some of the lyrics:
How lucky can one guy be
I kissed her and she kissed me
Like the fella once said
Aint that a kick in the head
My head keeps spinnin
I go to sleep and keep grinin
If this is just the beginin
My life is going to be beautiful
I have sunshine enough to spread
I'ts just like the fella said
Aint Love a kick in the head
She's telling me we'll be wed
She's picked out a kingsize bed
I couldn't feel any better or Id' be sick
Tell me quick
Aint LOVE a kick in the head!
OK Some lyrics, you can take it a lot of ways.... but I was definitely flattered and felt real special

Personally, I think it's really cute, the way some men will go to such lengths to NOT say the L word. My OM is very funny about expressions of affection, he acts alot like my seven-year-old. Once I kissed his cheek in a movie theatre and he wiped it off and said "gross, girl germs!" LOL. Yesterday on the phone, just to mess with his head, I said, "Baby, I REALLY REALLY miss you." I could literally HEAR him squirming around in his seat trying to come up with a neutral response (we haven't seen each other in three weeks) he said "um, uh, er, um, yeah, it's been a while, eh?" I used to find it disconcerting, now I just find it cute. Everything he DOES screams "I love you", but it's impossible for him to say it. I HAVE heard the "I love having sex with you" and "I love that about you" and all those other things they say...I don't think I'll ever hear "I love you". But I have always felt it, in his touch, in the way he tells me to buy a VERY SAFE CAR and other things like that. And that's what matters. :)
