I am curious for everyone here, but especially for those in a long term affair.

Does/ Has your level of attraction, connection, closeness and even love for your AP seem to grow stronger and stronger over time?

I have been involved with AP for a year now. With the exception of 2 months following his wife finding out, however he came back and our contact is as it was before and probably a bit more frequent, we text alot, most everyday when we can, talk on the phone, e-mail , etc.And see each other when we can, sometimes a couple of times a week, sometimes it is two weeks between

I haven't been in my A as long as you have, however we've been friends for 7 years, started the flirting in 2008, things became emotional (emotional affair) last summer & intimate about 5 months ago so there's been a slow progression to where we find ourselves now. I'm now separated from my husband and AP hasn't been happy in his marriage even before we turned emotional & intimate. He told me the other day that he knows he made a mistake by marrying his W. He's everyday closer & closer to leaving his marriage. But it seems like, for me, that everyday there is something else about him that amazes me, some way that I feel closer to him, etc. He has really over the last year become one of my closest friends and it's absolutely one of the greatest feelings to be in love with my best friend. Our relationship was one that happened out of the blue for sure. So I certainly think it's possible for it to keep growing and growing. It's certainly nothing I've ever experienced before though.

I'm only 4 months in, but I agree that over time, my attraction for AP has increased.
