Some of you may have read how I had been worried about AP over the weekend.

I'm glad it wasn't a worse thing that caused him to suddenly stop sending messages, although I can understand his feelings about the possible divorce.

It IS quite a dilemma! I think I'd let him tell me what he wanted as far as the weekend. As disappointed as I would be to cancel, I think I'd be more disappointed if he truly wasn't good company or I couldn't cheer him up, once there. Think about how you might feel if that's the case.

Whatever you decide, keep us updated.

Considering everything you have said and especially since you don't really have an ulterior motive here (you are not looking to gain anything from him getting a D since you are not leaving your M), I say go.

After reading what went into arranging for this, I can certainly understand not wanting to cancel! I agree with aliveagain that you should try to find something "pampering" to do for yourself - especially if he seems to want some "alone and brooding" time to himself. Try to expect that he will, and then it won't hurt if he does - but it'll be a happy surprise if he doesn't want to be alone. Let us know how it's turning out!
