Have any of you read the "men are from mars women are from venus" book (s)?????

i caught a "workshop" (lecture) by the author on the "Wisdom" channel and i found it interesting. My questions are.....

1- Did you think it was valuable from an affair / general point of view (i am not married, so wouldn't be using anything i learn in a marriage, mostly just the A)

2- Do you think i should read the original book, the "mars and venus dating" or one of the other "spinoffs"?????

thanks in advance for your suggestions,

jen

I have the book Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus and have liked it to some extent. It a good book to start off but doesn't go into details like I would like to. It doesn't do it so muach for me like another book does - This Is How Love Works: Nine Essential Secrets You Need to Know by Steven Carter.

It has been a significant help to me in understanding why MM isn't consistent in his behavior. Why he'll coming on really strong for a while, then one day I'll see him and he'll treat me like little more than a friend. Then he'll be too busy to even talk to or see me for a while, then all of a sudden he'll be back coming on strong again. It's all explained in that book...the stuff about men having "intimacy cycles" and going into their caves, etc., etc. I highly recommend it.

Thanks guys. i don't have alot of time to invest into this and i would like to pick something someone recommends.... plus something i could at the library would be good LOL. Thank you all for your suggestions.

i did read one articles on ivillage about the 'allure' of the MM. i thougth it wasn't very helpful but i am not knocking ivillage in general.... i would read more if i had the time. Part of what got me :)'ing about it was they said soemthing like..... "you want to find a guy whose name you can put down in the "who to call in an emergency" section of an application"... i had literallly JUST done that with MM on my college application which HE took home and faxed for me so i woudln't have to pay office max LOL!!!!! You can't just lump all A's together, although that's waht most people do.

Thanks everyone, keep the suggestions coming,

jen
