This is really getting on my last nerve!

Ok People ...
Does it not get anyone else here annoyed that it seems MAS is open house? I respect BSS and EAS are safe spaces for women experiencing a set of circumstances for which they require a safe space and while I would LOVE to chip in occassionally to offer a different perspective I respect that it is not appropriate for me to do so. So when something is said over there that makes my blood boil, or that grates on my very last nerve, or is generalising about motivations and outcomes of A's and so on and so on ...I take a deep breath and move on. They are not debate boards. MAS is also not a debate board. I take it we are not seen to deserve the same safe space to vent and discuss our situations without trolls, guouls, idiots and downright nasty people feeling like they just HAVE to save us from ourselves? I take it that's because we are OW and OM and OF COURSE!!! ....we should be wearing the scarlet letter, if and when allowed out in public, and take any and all abuse thrown at us until we learn the error of our ways. Of course ...tut tut ...I forgot my place.
FFS what century are we in?! Infidelity has been rife since marriage and the concept of fidelity were invented! (By male dominated societies may I add in order to keep their chattels ... women ...under control and away from other predators ...men)
If MAS is a safe space then why are these attacks tolerated by us collectively? Can we not all concurrently press 'ignore' on brfl2009 and other trolls? Now wouldn't that be fun!
Ready ....1 .....2 .....3! .....press!!
Now ...back to the stuff I came here for ...
Hello all ...how's Affairland treating you today?

Yeah, I find it pretty irritating that we come here for support, and are sometimes subjected to attacks by others (some claim to have been on this board for a long time, but by the sounds of their posts, they're no longer in an A).

i read eas and other posts for perspective.. here at MAS, the worst we seem to do is sometimes a poor job of a putting our APs in their place when it is called for. whereas at eas and other boards, there are much deeper levels of hurt, confusion and depression.. i come to think of the goofy posts as a result of those feelings and not based on rational discourse, and hence, they become quite easy to ignore..
affairland is well.. we usually don't see each other that often but keep in touch regularly, and all is well..
Yes Bird, I totally agree with you that while we are strictly prohibited from posting on their boards,
That could be said about those in MAS that feel the need to post on the BS board.
Just because you to not agree with someone's point of view, that doesnt mean the other person is a troll. Been on this board for years.

Keep in mind everyone, that we can RAV a post that we think does not follow the TOS. BSs are not allowed to post here anymore than we are allowed to post in their safe place. I hesitate to RAV a post sometimes because, usually, the whole thread gets pulled, so it has to be pretty blatant for me to RAV a post. Sometimes the thread is pertinent and insightful or helpful and I hate to have the whole thing pulled because one person didn't follow the TOS. But we are afforded the same protection as anyone else on ivillage - we do not carry "scarlet letters" LOL. CMTasha is wonderful - you can always e-mail her directly about a poster you think is a problem. Just find one of her posts (I have a feeling one might show up soon lol) and choose "e-mail this person".
Also keep in mind that the PUBLIC reaction to us breaking TOS by posting on a BS board is much worse than if a BS comes over here. The rules are the same, but people's reactions are not - and that's understandable. There have always been people who thought this place should not even exist, and if we were a bunch of TOS breaking ruffians, maybe they would banish us, don't know. It's best to always be on our best behavior and follow the rules!

I couldn't have said it better myself, Lexi.

The OP outright called Brfl a troll.
I'm very good at ignoring ignorant posters (and will continue to do so).
Affairland is so confusing these past few days.
