safety in posting

My biggest fear right now is posting to this site! Is it safe to post under my own user name and believe my H won't find out? Is there a way for him to see what I have written through our computer? He does not snoop, but I need to know in case he has any suspicions. How safe is this?

Thanks!

I have one rule I don't post from home. I figure, if my boss catches anything it will be easier to explain:) Sometimes I will lurk from home and if my H caught it, I would just say I was curious. I always make sure to click on other boards too. Always remember, DENY, DENY DENY:) NMR

HI ALL

Using a friends PC or a internet cafe PC (public PC) is the best bet, I do network support for a large company and one thing that is common now is that all e-mails chat and internet access IE websites are captured, misuse can be a fireing offense, there is a lot less tolerance today for that sort of thing then there was just a few years ago.

Free,

I was wondering when I was going to see a reply/post such as yours.

<<<<>>>>

It is obvious many of the folks post from work. My first thought was, "Dang, what kind of jobs do some of these people have where they can spend an abundant amount of time reading and composing long posts; many posts!" My other thought was, "Shoot, don't they care that they may get caught and get in trouble with their jobs? Would it be worth loosing their jobs? Would their superiors even care that they are doing this? Or are THEY, themselves, the superiors abusing their power?" Then I thought, "don't they view spending so much time on the internet at work cheating the company out of time and money?" If one is spending that much time on the internet at work (or any time at work for that matter), they can't be giving their job 100%, or their job can't be that stimulating.

Then, I saw a correlation with what board I was on when I made these observations. Then I thought, "Hello!!! Of many course people involved in EMA's are not going to give those considerations, mentioned above, to their jobs." Makes perfect sense.

Just an observation.

HI Pen

Nice to here from you>

What a lot of companies do now a days is to hold onto the info they have gathered and when they want to get rid of someone they use the info to paper there personal file building an air tight case against the person

I am very fortunate to have a boss(the owner) that would just smack me on the wrist and tell me to be careful. As long as I get my work done, he doesn't care! I'm lucky, aren't I? :):):) NMR

Hi Happy,

<<<<>>>>

Happy, from what I've seen, I don't have ENOUGH time on my hands as compared to some of the regulars.

If you don't care, then why ask?
