safety in posting

My biggest fear right now is posting to this site! Is it safe to post under my own user name and believe my H won't find out? Is there a way for him to see what I have written through our computer? He does not snoop, but I need to know in case he has any suspicions. How safe is this?

Thanks!

For some reason, my home computer DOESN't clear the history when you do all that what FREE said. So I have to go onto each item on the list, right click them and delete them one by one. Thank god if you collapse message board you can delete everything you've looked at all at once!! Otherwise I'd be there for hours delete, delete delete!!!

Gurl,

The drop down list can be disabled by going to Tools -> Options and clicking on the Content tab. In the personal information section, click on the AutoComplete button. There you can disable the auto filling of URL or passwords. That way you won't see the drop down list. Hope that helps. I am assuming you have IE on your computer.

Greetings my Pal Gal and everyone else...

Yep, there all kinds of ways to hide where you go on the pc, but as Free already pointed out, there are ways around them too. Any thing you do on your pc is at risk to scrutiny, so those of you who have jobs who don't mind such a thing...yes, hold on to those jobs. And if you don't want your SO to know what you have been up to and you have have been using the home pc....well, your best bet is that your SO never gets suspicious enough to snoop.

Happy..

<<<<>>>>

Come on gal, you are slipping! You did ask ask me if I was even in an A...check for yourself. Anyway, Good night until tomorrow.

I have read all the posts up to this one.... it is a very time-consuming thread that encompasses naive pc users to software engineers.... I fall somewhere in the middle. What Pen is talking about is theft of company time. That is a real offense that can result in termination. However, I deeply resent the implication that she/he looked at the board he/she was posting on and realized these people have no morals or work ethics. Some people can post in seconds while they're waiting for a lengthy report to print or while they're on hold for a client...... some people type 100 wpm while others struggle with 20 wpm.... all these things make a difference..... someone typing an update to their mother about her grandchild is as big a theft of company time as someone saying hey to a lover.

Why do people come here to judge? Who are these people that can throw stones? I think that you're a little bit too pensive, perhaps you were the model for Rodin's sculpture.... a very unhappy subject.

Maybe I read it wrong and am flying off the handle.... I found it an interesting and worthwhile topic.... not just how to deceive others but also to protect people we love from our indiscretions.... I don't judge. I will be the first to say that an EMA was the worst mistake I ever made, that it ruined my life, and has indeed jeopardized and compromised my job performance..... But who is this person to come and judge us? Why are you? You obviously have time to read all these posts and make assumptions about perfect strangers... It's sad...... very sad.... I just hope that the people who read this can consider the source, take the advice that EMA's are dangerous business and the PC leaves a very concrete paper trail..... but don't let this person make you feel bad. The only one who can make you feel inferior is yourself...... quoted by Eleanor Roosevelt... whose husband had several emas and was involved in relationships herself.....

Please try to spread some peace in this world. There is enough anger and strife... Everybody is just trying to deal with their imperfections....
