I've learned it the hardest way possible that you should never let any misunderstanding and miscommunication stand between you and the one you love. You should never be afraid of letting your heart speak and making your feelings known. We are way too concerned about "not losing our face and sparing our dignity." I used to be like this too and I almost lost the only woman I've ever truly loved. And what are your dignity, your self esteem and your ego worth and what do you need them for when you've lost this one and only person in your life who is the very center of your world and without whom your world becomes empty and your life cannot even be considered life - just a mere existense!

Thanks! You are giving me more credit than I deserve. I wasn't always the way I am now. I used to be this "macho" guy, somewhat cynical, not at all sentimental, very reserved in my emotions and feelings, very protective of my ego, very unhappy in my love life and not hoping for much. And then at the age of 51 I met her and she turned my entire life upside down. But I only realized that she meant the whole world to me when I nearly lost her and my world stopped. That was what changed me almost overnight.

Thanks again for your good wishes!

i'm glad you came around and it's great that you know what you want and went for it!

hugs,
gurl

Boston, your posts are amazing! Its nice to see a man who is as open and caring as you towards a woman. She is very lucky to have you and I wish you all the best in the future.

Oh and if things don't work out, I have a few friends that would just love you (sorry just some of my twisted humour if I didn't say that my friends would kill me for not ceasing the moment and at least trying)

But on a serious note, I do hope it all works out!
