he is probably a serial cheater - which is fine if you go into this with your eyes open - he really has a responsibility in communicating he feelings and his intent. He most likely enjoyed the pursuit. I am sure he had and has feelings but maybe at the end he knew he was not going to leave his wife and this is his way of communication - not the best - you did not get yourself into anything - stuff happens..... your expectation of what the relationship is and should be I gather are not being met - so you probably know which path you will end up on...... it hurts no doubt - and I dont believe he set out to do that -

I didn't know he was a seriel cheater in the beginning. But I did find out later that he had been doing this through out his whole married life. But it was too late by then my feeling were already invested in this "relationship" or whatever you want to call it.

Sorry he played you, which is what he did. You do have your answer, though. This guy is an admitted serial cheater. Even if he were to run off with you, you can bet your life he'd do it to you, too. If it's worth it to you to sacrifice your feelings for some gifts and trips, then continue it knowing it's never going to amount to anything more than what it is. But if you envision a life for yourself with a real and meaningful relationship, kids, marriage, a house, whatever, then you know he is just not it. So if you were to continue it would be a huge waste of your time. He's told you who he is. Believe him. He may have said all that other stuff, but he obviously didn't mean it. Even though he hasn't had a DDay, he is still basically throwing you under the bus. Unless you like the tire tracks all over you, I'd get out of this affair. I see nothing but more hurt and anger down the road for you should you choose to remain in it.
