They don't end happily very often. I too had an A end and it was very painful and I said I'd never do it again but here I am. I am hoping it doesn't end but keep thinking in the back of my head that it will. I just take it day by day and enjoy what I have a TRY not to think about an end. That's all we can do.

"All our pain and anguish.. for what?" for true love.love is beautiful but sometimes hurts.

"I keep thinking to myself what would be a happy ending? " it really depends on what makes you happy. There can never be a perfect happy ending. No one has ever had.You need to find happiness yourself, thats to say,are you happy being where you are in your A or life?I am.I am SW with MM and very happy and content.I dont worry about future anymore.

As for "Is there ever a happy ever after" - it is but rare but again i would say i am in 'happy ever after' even while being in A.It really depends on how you perceive things.

I am sorry you are going thru that pain. I know it's so hard but most of us can't seem to end it because of the love we feel and the good times we do have, even if they are few and far between. I would love to hear from my AP all the time but he doesn't contact me like that. But I do see him weekly now when it was once every few months, for 2.5 years. I don't know that I can make you feel any better about things. It's hard to let go of someone you dearly love. You don't want to let go. But you know sometimes that's what you need to do. I ask myself all the time wtf am I doing? Love is a powerful thing. (((HUGS)))

Happily Ever After...was created by Disney to makes us buy all that "princess" crap for our DD's....lol

Seriously...No!!! I don't think there is a Happily Ever After. That phrase sets expectations sky high and I don't think any human could reach it. When in a A its best just to take it day by day...heck I guess the same thing could be said for marriage.....There are no guarantees.
