I'm so angry I could just spit! Just when you think you have a safe place like HooksRoom to post it gets infiltrated by that evil board. I'm so tired of not being able to trust anybody!

sorry...didnt mean to offend u...

I meant the first attraction..that "just" happens.

The rest , yes, its all conscious thinking.

Your absolutely right,

But once u r hooked, its like a drug...hard to get out.

I just have to comment on this. Someone said something about this once that really hit home. He was talking about how human beings tend to say we want the freedom to do what we want. We want to be able to drink and cuss and go down all kinds of dark paths. We feel like morality or religion or whatever holds us back from that, but what happens is soon you become a slave to that activity. Drinking, adultery, whatever your drug of choice. So are you really free??? Maybe the only true freedom is finding the strength in ourselves to resist those things...

hi lilah, interesting thought that you've expressed.

i've always been the one to resist, deny, give over to others, give in, make nice.

ilizbuth-

Reading this and some of the replies has me a bit paranoid. I am new here and have posted once for advice and I think my post may have been too informative. Is there some way to retract a post? Maybe there really is no safe place....

There *ARE* safe places out there. The trick is to make sure it's a small group of people you trust. I belong to one of those lucky groups...one where the members are comfortable enough to bring their AP's in to meet their friends. We've become a wonderful family and care about each other tremendously. I couldn't ask for a better group of friends and we all are involved in or were involved in affairs and help each other through the tough times as well as the good times.

I used to belong to a larger group and had the same experiences as others here..too many things ended up in other places. Fortunately for us, that hasn't been the case in a year or so. We've truly been blessed to find each other..lol...and to think it all began here!

Congrats Gurl...you and Sweet are doing a fabulous job. I'll try to pop in now and again and give a shout. In the meantime, good luck to everyone and I pray you find everything your heart desires.

You can play with the "Mean Ladies" too.....I have since April 2003. This is NOT a situation that anyone of us had wanted to happen. Very few of us have actually gone out seeking someone who was attached. I've thrown so many Red Herrings out to them and they took the bait, ;). My story even ended up on their commentary board. Funny thing is that I got that story straight from a very recent movie. They bought it, lolol! So ladies, if you aren't enjoying them picking apart your life, throw them a bone every once and a while. Then sit back and enjoy the spectacle they play out for you on their board, it is truly entertaining!

hi pens...

to answer your question NO my husband does not know. If he knew he would take it very badily. He has accused me of having an A for the past few years, long before I started my A. But i will say that he ruined whatever trust we had a long time ago

Hope that answers your questions
