Not in the same situation...yet. A's like any relationship can transform into something not fulfilling. And not being able to see each other does tend to douse the flames. (I know all about that)
The "crumbs"...I think every person ever in an A has felt that way at some time or another -- seems part and parcel of A's. Good communication is key here: You both have to know what at LEAST needs to be happening for you both to feel content...as content as one can feel in an A, anyway:) I'd look at "patterns" and if there's a consistent pattern of you not getting what you need... you have your answer.
For me, if/when I start feeling like it's not worth it, I think I'll have to end it. Ending is HARD (tried it...3 months, but for different reasons), but I think it's made easier when you are in the mindset of "this is not adding anything positive to my existence".
